I am a huge fan of Eco-Emi. Back in June of 2011 I signed up for Birchbox. After I received my first box, I realized that not every product in the box that was sent to me was cruelty-free. This bothered me a lot. I decided to cancel my membership, then researched for cruelty-free companies and signed up with Eco-Emi. I got my first box in August of 2011.
I've had a membership and have made monthly videos on this box every month since. I LOVE these boxes! They are so fun to get. If you are trying to embrace a cruelty-free, green, natural or organic lifestyle, then this is the box for you.

My latest video, a review on the Pirouette Professional Makeup Brushes. They are %100 Vegan and Cruelty-Free:
I can't rave about these brushes enough. I was fortunate enough to win these brushes on a YouTube contest, but knowing what I know now, I would buy these brushes in a heartbeat if I didn't already own them. They are currently $30 off the original price, so buy them while they are that price!
I was able to use these brushes for about a month before FINALLY being able to get a video up about them. The first video I filmed for some reason would not upload, and then my hardrive crashed, so I lost the video and wasn't able to troubleshoot the problem. Then, when I was finally able to film ANOTHER video, I didn't like how it turned out, so I deleted it. THEN, about a month later, I finally had the chance (being the mom of two kids and wife to a busy, hard working husband, doesn't leave a lot of time to film, not to mention having company, my mother-in-law, in town) to film a final video, which I was going to edit and upload regardless if I was totally happy with how it turned out or not.
I was not asked to make this video. I usually make videos, if I really love a product. I love that these brushes are %100 vegan and cruelty-free and I am in love with the quality and how well they work, so I was super excited to share them with my subscribers, and to whoever else wanted to know about them. So, I decided to make a video. Nika found out that I was going to make a video and asked if she could share the video with her viewers as well.
Thanks to Nika for giving me the chance to win the brushes! What a great opportunity! She'll be giving out another set, so be sure to head over to her channel and subscribe:
A lot of you are probably coming to this page expecting to see an amazing blog, due to a really awesome shout out I received recently from Hellooobeautiful1 aka Heather on YouTube. Well, she wasn't talking about this. I am pretty sure (or at least I think I am) that she was talking about my "blog" on my twitter account.
If you follow me on Twitter (@debmakeupnoob), I have a paper.li account and it automatically picks people who I follow on Twitter and does a story about them, every day. It's a great idea my husband set up for a over 6 months ago. My followers LOVE it! So, do I have a really awesome blog? Not really. BUT, I have a really awesome account with paper.li on Twitter. Here's the link to what I am talking about:
That's it! Sorry for the confusion. When she mentioned that in her video, I was like 'oh crap, people are going to expect that I have this amazing blog', because she didn't mention it was only linked to my Twitter. But, I am sure she wasn't aware of that fact.
So, I thought that I would re-direct you to my paper.li page, so you can see what she's actually talking about! And yes, it's cool!
On a different note, my mother-in-law came into town over the last week and we had an uber girly time. I taught her how to apply eyeshadow, fake nails and I taught her how to use a clamp-less curling iron. It was super fun! I also acquired another TooFaced palette, the naked eye one. Hopefully, if I get more time I'll make a post about it here. Subscribe to this blog if you want to be notified if I do!
Here are my very first Wet N' Wild eyeshadows, ever! I've never purchased a Wet N' Wild eyeshadow, ever! Even when I was younger, I never purchased these.
I can't say enough good things about these. They are smooth as butter, the pigments are amazing and they were super cheap at $2.99! I see myself hitting pan, for sure!
